Empowering communities and transforming lives

Tullman Community Ventures (TCV) works to realize the potential of all Americans through targeted investments in philanthropic causes and community ventures that help people live healthier and more prosperous lives and enable businesses to focus more on social impact.

We look for opportunities to promote personal growth and economic mobility to create a more equitable society.

Our Projects

JumpHire

Our aim is to eliminate barriers to employment for those without college degrees. Through strategic partnerships with employers, wraparound services, and skills training, JumpHire helps individuals on the Southside and Westside of Chicago gain full-time employment with family sustaining wages and health benefits.

Homelessness is an issue rooted in multiple contributing factors, including lack of economic mobility, mental health challenges, domestic violence, and the shortage of affordable housing. TCV aims to improve outcomes by organizing cross-sector groups of partners to transform what many recognize is an inefficient and fragmented system currently addressing homelessness in Chicago.

The Prestige

Fighting for the Power of Music

TCV wants to inspire young people across the country (and the world!) to use music to express themselves and as a vehicle to bring attention to critical social issues. In partnership with Hope Chicago, we developed a unique experience to Farragut Career Academy students interested in the performing arts to work with and learn from Five For Fighting Singer & Songwriter John Ondrasik.

Our Hydroponic Pilot to Address Food Insecurity

TCV is dedicated to tackling food insecurity in communities throughout Chicago. In collaboration with the Greater Chicago Food Depository, we have embarked on an innovative hydroponic pilot project. Through this endeavor, we hope to learn how best to provide underserved populations with increased and sustained access to healthy foods and fresh produce. Using hydroponics, we will generate substantial quantities of nutritious vegetables and produce, which we anticipate will significantly contribute to the Greater Chicago Food Depository's prepared meals program.
